CCPS wins 2nd Runner-Up for Best Picture at the 2022 Georgia Movie Academy in the K-2 category! Team members are: Jayceon Glenn, Ariana Parks, Madilene Pflueger, Della Sercer, and Hudson Tinley. Coaches are: Kindal Smith and Crystal Griffin. The theme for this year's competition is: Dream Big! and our movie showcases the dreams of Mrs. Shelia Henderson's 2nd grade class. We want to extend a special "Thank You" to Mrs. Henderson's students for all of the help.
"Georgia Movie Academy is a digital storytelling competition sponsored by the Chattahoochee-Flint RESA. The competition recognizes student work in the area of video production and storytelling. This project-based learning opportunity allows students to work in teams to produce a theme-based, standards-based, three minute video on a topic of their choice. Teachers serve as coaches and earn PLU credit. The competition is for student teams in grades K-12. The event begins with Coaches Kick-off meetings in October. The competition concludes with a regional gala event in March and a state awards ceremony in May. "
